TBL Medical continues to invest in medical technology. We have now acquired Body-jet® evo from German company Human Med – a modern WAL (Water-Assisted Liposuction) system that represents the gold standard in gentle liposuction and fat transplantation.
WAL vs PAL – a new standard for patient safety and results
Traditionally, many clinics have used PAL (Power-Assisted Liposuction), where vibrating cannulas mechanically break down the fatty tissue.
With WAL technology, fat cells are loosened using a precise and gentle water jet. This offers several advantages over previous systems:
- Less damage to surrounding tissue and nerves
- Reduced pain, bruising, and swelling
- Shorter recovery time for the patient
- Higher quality of the extracted fat, which can be reused for transplantation
What we will use the system for
With Body-jet® evo, we are expanding our range of advanced procedures:
- Lipedema Lipoedema surgery
- Cosmetic liposuction – safe and precise removal of unwanted fat deposits.
- Fat transfer(lipofilling) – use of the patient's own fat to increase volume, e.g. in the face or breasts.
- Nanofat treatment – processing of fatty tissue into a more fluid form used in skin rejuvenation and scar treatment.
Experience from the public sector
Plastic surgeon Ileana Rodríguez Standal, who is now part of our team, has extensive experience with the WAL system in the public sector. She has worked with the method in the treatment of patients with lipedema, and thus brings solid expertise and confidence to our patients. Her experience ensures that the technology is used optimally, both in reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.
Public treatment of lipedema
Surgical treatment of lipedema under the auspices of the public health service is currently only offered as an experimental treatment through an ongoing (closed) clinical treatment study. A large Norwegian study on lipedema is well underway
Among other things, the study is investigating the effect of liposuction on pain, function, and quality of life in lipedema patients.

The new WAL system that TBL Medical has adopted is the same as the one used in the study mentioned above.
A long-term commitment
With this investment, we are confirming our mantra that we will always have the latest and best in medical technology. Our goal is always to be able to offer patients the most gentle, effective, and well-documented methods. Body-jet® evo is a natural part of this commitment.
