TBL Medical can remove cherry angiomas with laser
These red spots are most often called "cherry angiomas," "Campbell de Morgan spots," or "senile angiomas."
They are red and round in appearance due to several clusters of small capillaries that have formed a "dome."
They usually grow on the upper body, such as the chest, arms, and shoulders, and are round or oval in shape. They vary in size, ranging from small dots to larger growths.
The smallest ones are usually flush with the skin, while some can grow to be large and may cause some irritation due to their size.
Normally, cherry angiomas occur in people over the age of 30, but they can also be found in younger people. We do not know why some people develop them, but once you have one or two, you will probably find that more will appear.
Are they dangerous?
No, they are not dangerous, but they can of course be bothersome and irritating.
They will not disappear on their own, but fortunately they can be removed very easily with laser treatment. Just a few "shots" with the laser and they are gone.
It doesn't hurt, it just feels like a little prick. There is no downtime after this treatment, just a little bruising in the area and a small swelling that lasts for a few days before the angiomas disappear.
We use a long-pulse Nd-Yag laser that removes these after just one treatment in most cases. The treatment itself takes only a few seconds and is painless.
How much does it cost to remove angimone?
At TBL Medical, it costs only NOK 790 to have one cherry angioma removed. If there are several angiomas, the price will be set individually.
