Stop excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

In accordance with the regulations on advertising prescription drugs, we are not allowed to name the drugs used in the treatment.
Excessive sweating is a very embarrassing condition for those who suffer from it. Many feel that they are alone in experiencing this, but it is actually a fairly common condition.
It is not dangerous, but it can be inhibiting in work situations, social gatherings, or all the time.
Sweating is the body's way of regulating temperature, but for those who suffer from extreme sweating, this regulation is not normal, which in turn causes you to sweat much more than normal. It is often exacerbated psychologically as it is something you think about all the time.
Why do some people sweat more than others?
Why some people sweat more than others is not entirely clear, but it is thought to be due to overactive sweat glands, possibly a problem with the sympathetic nervous system, or hereditary factors.
Some people have hyperhidrosis all over their body, which can be caused by various medical conditions or medications. This is called secondary hyperhidrosis. Pregnant women, women going through menopause, or women with low blood sugar may experience secondary hyperhidrosis.
Injection treatment of hyperhidrosis
Many people are unaware that it is possible to receive treatment for hyperhidrosis that is simple and long-lasting using injections.
Once you have been approved for treatment, we will first start by performing a sweat test with iodine to see how severe your condition is. The area to be treated will then be disinfected and marked. A prescription drug is then injected that contains an active ingredient that blocks the nerves' signals to the sweat glands, thereby reducing sweating. It normally takes up to 7-14 days to achieve the optimal effect. In our experience, most people will see an effect lasting 9-12 months, while some may experience a longer duration. A small number will only see an effect lasting 3-6 months. The active ingredient itself only works for 3 months.
This treatment is recommended for those who have localized hyperhidrosis, not generalized throughout the body.
The treatment itself takes about 10-15 minutes and is not painful, only associated with a little discomfort.
How effective is the treatment?
Most people experience a 90% reduction in sweating after one treatment. When the effect wears off, you can have another treatment. It has been found that if you have several treatments, the effect can be better and last longer each time. One treatment typically lasts for 6 months.
Are there any side effects associated with the treatment?
When we use a thin needle and give you several injections, there will always be a risk of infection, but this is extremely rare. Some people may also develop small bruises on their skin.
