PRP Treatment

PRP is a natural treatment in medical skin care. PRP stimulates increased collagen and elastin production in the skin, which in turn reverses the signs of aging.

Norway has always been a little behind when it comes to adopting new treatment techniques, but in recent years PRP has become a very popular treatment.

PRP is not a new treatment; it has been used in the medical world for decades, particularly in orthopedics, dental health, and sports medicine.

PRP in beauty treatments has been one of the most popular beauty treatments in the US for many years, with Hollywood celebrities in particular swearing by PRP treatments.

PRP treatment is a treatment that uses your own growth factors. This is a completely natural treatment, where your own growth factors in concentrated form are injected into a specific area of the body.
The result is increased cell renewal, which in turn leads to increased production of collagen and elastin in the areas being treated.

Treatments with PRP

How is PRP treatment performed?

The treatment involves taking a small amount of blood, which is then centrifuged so that we can separate the blood's own growth factors and proteins contained in these cells.

The PRP solution is administered either using a thin needle, microneedling, or a mesogun. It is injected in small amounts back into the areas to be treated. This increases damage repair and accelerates cell and tissue renewal. This then leads to an increase in collagen formation due to increased angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), more circulation to the areas, and more moisture in the skin.

The number of treatments required varies from person to person.
Young skin that wants to prevent a little reduction is usually satisfied after just one treatment.
Older skin, with specific indications, may need up to 3 treatments.

Contraindications and aftercare.

As the treatment involves using the patient's own blood, there are no allergic reactions. As with other types of injections, bruising may occur, which can last for a few days. It is normal to experience redness and slight swelling on the first day. The only groups that are not treated are pregnant women and people with bleeding disorders.

Injecting PRP may also provide some volume enhancement to areas such as lines and furrows.

Can help those who want to reduce dark circles around the eyes, using only your own growth factors.

  • 2. What should I consider before treatment?

Avoid sun exposure on your skin during the last 4 weeks before treatment. You should also stop using strong retinol creams and similar products one week before treatment if you are going to have Dermapen treatment.

Come without makeup, well-hydrated, and eat healthy food on the same day (and normally, of course) to get the best results from your PRP treatment.

We do not treat active acne, eczema, or active herpes outbreaks.

  • 3. Is there a long downtime after treatment?
No, just a little redness and dryness on the same day and maybe 1-2 days after treatment. PrP is your own super cells, which means rapid healing.
  • 4. Can PRP be combined with other treatments?
Yes, PRP can be used in combination with deeper laser treatments for faster healing times and better results from the laser treatment.
