Stretch marks on both men and women
Both men and women can get stretch marks for various reasons. In women, stretch marks often occur during and after pregnancy. In fact, statistics show that as many as 80% of women will get stretch marks after pregnancy. The reason we get stretch marks is quite simple and lies in the word "stretch marks."
The skin is stretched too quickly for it to be able to "follow," resulting in permanent damage to the dermis. The damage appears as long lines in the skin.

Removing stretch marks after childbirth
Stretch marks often occur during puberty or pregnancy when you grow quickly, and are caused by the elastic fibers in the subcutaneous tissue being overstretched. Stretch marks will fade significantly over time and become closer to your skin color, but this takes time.
There are absolutely no "non-invasive" treatments available today that can completely remove stretch marks, but with the Fotona laser, we can in most cases reduce the visibility of stretch marks to such an extent that they are no longer bothersome.
Three or more treatments will be necessary to achieve optimal results. We always recommend booking a free, no-obligation consultation before booking a treatment.
