ClearLift — Non-surgical skin tightening in Bergen

ClearLift provides skin tightening and a healthy glow without surgery, without scarring, and without downtime. The treatment is performed using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that tightens the skin from the inside—you can return to your daily routine immediately after the 30-minute session. TBL Medical was one of the first clinics in Norway to offer ClearLift.

ClearLift is a laser facelift—completely painless and with no downtime. You can have the treatment during your lunch break and go right back to work. That’s why it’s called “The lunchtime facelift.”

Who is Clearlift suitable for?

ClearLift is ideal for anyone looking for skin tightening, a more even skin tone, and reduced pigmentation—without surgery and without having to take time off work.

The treatment reduces fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and broken capillaries, and stimulates the skin’s own collagen production for a natural lift. Suitable for both correcting and preventing signs of aging.

What can be treated with ClearLift?

ClearLift can be used on the face, neck, chest, and hands. The treatment reduces:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Pigment spots and uneven skin tone
  • Redness and broken capillaries
  • Visible pores
  • Loose, slightly sagging skin

The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivers short, powerful light pulses that are absorbed deep into the skin. The pulses stimulate collagen production and break down excess pigment without damaging the epidermis.

How many treatments will I need?

The recommended course of treatment consists of 4–6 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Most people notice an improvement after 2 sessions—the skin becomes smoother and more radiant. The full effect on firmness and fine lines is visible 3–4 weeks after the final session, once collagen production has been fully stimulated.

We recommend maintenance with 1–2 treatments per year to maintain the results.

How does ClearLift work?

Short, powerful laser pulses deliver controlled energy 2–3 millimeters deep into the skin, where they stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin. The skin’s surface remains unaffected—so you won’t have any sores or marks, and you can return to your daily routine right away.

ClearLift is a non-ablative treatment, which means that the laser works at a deeper level without damaging the skin’s upper layers. As collagen production gradually increases, the skin becomes smoother, firmer, and more radiant.

Who can receive treatment?

ClearLift is suitable for all ages and skin types. The treatment is safe for both women and men and can be performed on Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI (all skin tones)—including tanned and darker skin.

For younger patients, ClearLift is often used as a preventive measure, before visible signs of aging have appeared. During your consultation, we’ll assess your specific skin type and expectations to tailor the treatment to your needs.

Our equipment — Alma Harmony XL Pro

TBL Medical uses the Alma Harmony XL Pro—a medical laser platform featuring Pixel Q-Switched Nd:YAG technology. The laser operates at a wavelength of 1064 nm and penetrates to a depth of 3 mm in the dermis layer of the skin without damaging the epidermis.

How the technology works

  • Short (nanosecond) but powerful laser pulses
  • Selective absorption into the underlying skin layers
  • Stimulates collagen production and reduces pigmentation
  • The epidermis remains intact — no wounds, no downtime

Alma Lasers is one of the world's leading manufacturers of medical lasers, and the Harmony XL Pro is used in thousands of medical clinics worldwide.

Clinical documentation

A study published in *Lasers in Medical Science* (2026) showed that 72.2% of participants achieved a significant improvement in skin quality after four treatments with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser—the same technology used by ClearLift.

The study followed 36 women over a period of 3 months without any serious side effects. The treatment does not require pre-treatment anesthesia.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

  • 1. How many treatments will I need?
Clearlift stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin; most people notice results after just two treatments. It takes about four weeks after a treatment for the new collagen to take effect. Most people are satisfied after four treatments, though some may need six for optimal results. We recommend maintenance treatments about twice a year to sustain the results.
  • 2. How does the treatment work, what can I expect?

The treatment takes 20–40 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. It feels pleasantly warm and is completely painless—many people take a quick nap during the treatment.

Immediately afterward, your skin may feel warm and slightly red, but this will quickly subside. You can return to work or go home right away without any downtime.

  • 3. What should I consider before treatment?

    For best results:

    • - Stop using retinol products 4–7 days before treatment
    • - Come without makeup
  • 4. Who is not eligible for treatment
    • We do not treat pregnant or breastfeeding women. Active sunburn, open wounds, or infections in the treatment area also preclude treatment. During the consultation, we will assess your individual situation.
  • 5. Who is the treatment suitable for?
ClearLift is suitable for all ages and skin types, for both women and men. It’s ideal for anyone looking to tighten their skin and achieve a healthy glow without surgery or downtime.
  • 6. How much does ClearLift cost?
The price per treatment depends on the area and package size. A single facial treatment starts at 3,100 NOK, while our most popular package (4 facial + neck treatments) costs 14,850 NOK—that is, 3,712 NOK per treatment. During our Spring 2026 promotion (through June 30), you’ll receive a 20% discount on all ClearLift packages. You can find the complete price list at the bottom of the page.
  • 7. Is ClearLift painful?
No. ClearLift is classified as non-ablative—which means the laser passes through the skin’s surface without damaging it. Many patients describe the experience as pleasantly warm, and some even take a short nap during the treatment. No anesthesia is required.
  • 8. How long do the effects of ClearLift last?
The effects of a course of treatment (4–6 sessions) typically last 6–12 months. To maintain the results, we recommend follow-up treatments 1–2 times a year. The results build up gradually and are cumulative—the longer you follow the recommended program, the more lasting the effects will be.
  • 9. What is the difference between ClearLift and a surgical facelift?
A surgical facelift requires surgery, general anesthesia, and 2–4 weeks of downtime, and produces more dramatic results for deeper wrinkles and sagging skin. ClearLift is a non-surgical laser treatment with no downtime that provides gradual skin tightening and improved skin quality. ClearLift is suitable for early to moderate signs of aging, while a surgical facelift is typically recommended for significant changes.
